These terms govern your use of the crax-gpt website, chat interface, compatible API, accounts, built-in tools, and optional Discord features. By using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
crax-gpt is an independently operated AI chat interface and API gateway. It routes requests to third-party AI models and services. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek, Moonshot, Meta, Mistral, or other providers whose names may be shown. Names and marks identify compatible models or services only.
The service is offered free of charge. Features, limits, model availability, endpoints, output formats, and upstream providers may be added, changed, suspended, or removed at any time. There is no service-level agreement, guaranteed capacity, or guaranteed support response.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 and old enough under the law where you live to agree to these terms and consent to relevant data processing. A higher local age applies where required. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. You may not use the service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.
3. Accounts, access keys, and security
Registration creates a server-side account identified by a random user ID and protected by an access key. You must keep access keys, session tokens, and API keys confidential. Do not publish them or place them in client-side code. You are responsible for activity authenticated with your credentials unless you promptly report compromise.
An access key may be shown only when the account is created. Losing it may mean losing access.
API keys may have scopes, feature flags, quotas, and expiry dates and may be revoked in settings.
You must provide accurate information when using optional linked services and must not create accounts through bots or evade registration limits.
Contact the operator if you believe a credential or account has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use
You must comply with applicable law and must not use the service to:
exploit, sexualize, groom, endanger, or otherwise harm a child;
facilitate fraud, impersonation, phishing, credential theft, malware, unauthorized access, or evasion of security controls;
harass, threaten, stalk, discriminate against, or unlawfully invade another person’s privacy;
create, possess, distribute, or solicit content that is illegal in the relevant jurisdiction;
infringe intellectual-property, confidentiality, publicity, privacy, or other rights;
overload, scrape, probe, reverse engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the service or its upstream providers beyond normal authorized use;
resell or represent the service as your own without written permission, or use it in a way that creates legal obligations for crax-gpt toward your users; or
use output to make decisions about a person in employment, housing, credit, insurance, education, healthcare, law enforcement, or another high-impact setting without lawful authority, qualified human review, and appropriate safeguards.
The operator may investigate suspected abuse and block accounts, keys, IPs, origins, requests, or the service itself.
5. Your content
You retain whatever rights you already have in prompts, uploads, tool results, and other material you submit (“User Content”). You grant crax-gpt a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, transmit, transform, and otherwise process User Content only as needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the requested service.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit User Content and permit this processing. Do not submit secrets or personal data you are not authorized to disclose. Requests are shared with third-party model, routing, and tool services as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. AI output
Outputs are generated automatically by third-party models. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, biased, outdated, insecure, or similar to content produced for someone else. crax-gpt does not review or endorse each output and does not guarantee that output is unique or free of third-party rights.
You are responsible for evaluating output before using or sharing it. Do not rely on it as a substitute for qualified medical, legal, financial, engineering, security, or other professional advice. Independently verify material facts, code, citations, and safety-critical instructions.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, crax-gpt does not claim ownership of generated output. This does not create or guarantee copyright or any other intellectual-property right in that output.
7. Third-party services and tools
The service depends on independent model providers, routing platforms, hosting/network providers, search and media tools, Discord, and browser-delivered resources. Their terms and privacy practices may apply to your interaction with them, and crax-gpt does not control their availability, security, retention, or output.
A model may return a proposed tool_call. Unless the interface expressly identifies it as a built-in server tool, your software—not crax-gpt—chooses whether to execute that call. Review commands, code, URLs, and file operations before running them. Built-in tools may send search terms, URLs, or media prompts to outside services.
8. API use
The API aims for compatibility with common OpenAI- and Anthropic-style clients, but exact compatibility is not guaranteed. You must follow documented authentication, scopes, quotas, rate limits, request-size limits, and origin controls. Do not expose API keys in public repositories, frontend JavaScript, screenshots, or logs.
If you build a product using the API, you are responsible for your product, users, notices, consents, security, moderation, legal compliance, and support. You must not promise that crax-gpt provides guaranteed uptime, official model-provider access, data residency, or compliance certifications unless the operator confirms that in writing.
9. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains the data used by accounts, sessions, registration checks, API keys, daily usage, local chat history, AI requests, logs, tools, and Discord linking. By using the service, you acknowledge that request content must be transmitted to relevant third-party providers to generate a response.
10. Service intellectual property and feedback
These terms do not transfer ownership of the crax-gpt software, branding, site design, or operator materials. Third-party names and assets remain the property of their respective owners. If you voluntarily provide feedback, you permit the operator to use it without restriction or compensation, provided this does not transfer ownership of your pre-existing material.
11. Suspension, termination, and account deletion
The operator may limit, suspend, or terminate access immediately where reasonably necessary for abuse, security, legal compliance, upstream restrictions, capacity, maintenance, or discontinuation. This may include revoking keys or blocking an account, IP, origin, model, feature, or endpoint. Where practical, users may be notified, but advance notice is not guaranteed.
You may stop using the service at any time, clear local data, revoke API keys, and unlink Discord. There is currently no self-service account-deletion control; request deletion through the contact channel. Some data may be retained where lawfully required for security, disputes, or legal compliance.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” The operator disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and security. The operator does not warrant uninterrupted access, preservation of local data, any particular model or provider, or that output will meet your needs.
Nothing in these terms excludes guarantees or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, crax-gpt and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss; loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity; or damage resulting from output, third-party services, credential compromise, downtime, or your execution of generated code or tool calls.
Where liability cannot be excluded, aggregate liability arising from the service will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid crax-gpt for the service in the 12 months before the event (currently normally zero) or the minimum amount required by applicable law. This limitation does not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or another liability that applicable law does not permit to be limited.
14. Responsibility for claims
If you use the service on behalf of a business or integrate it into a product, then to the extent permitted by law that business will defend and indemnify the operator against third-party claims arising from its unlawful User Content, violation of these terms, product, or infringement of another person’s rights. This section does not apply to an individual consumer where such an obligation would be prohibited or unfair under applicable law.
15. General terms and disputes
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the agreement concerning the service. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the greatest lawful extent and the remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without permission; the operator may transfer the service and these terms as part of a reorganization or transfer of the project, subject to applicable law.
Before starting a formal dispute, please contact the operator and give a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. Mandatory consumer protections and any right to bring a claim in a court or forum available under applicable law remain unaffected. These terms do not impose a governing law or forum that overrides mandatory rights in your place of residence.
16. Changes to these terms
The terms may change as the service or law changes. The date above shows the latest revision. Material changes will be presented through the site or another reasonable channel before they take effect where required. Continuing to use the service after updated terms take effect means you accept them; if you do not agree, stop using the service.
17. Contact
For legal questions, abuse reports, credential compromise, account-deletion requests, or other issues, contact the crax-gpt operator through the crax-gpt Discord. Do not post passwords, full access keys, API keys, or sensitive personal data in a public channel.
